I perform weddings, celebrations of life, and other ceremonies to honour life’s milestones. Planning an event like this - whether joyful or difficult - can be overwhelming. My role is to help you navigate the process, from the legal steps for getting married to vendor recommendations and other logistics, so you can focus on what matters.
The more I understand your vision for the day, the more seamlessly I can integrate my role as your officiant. We’ll take time to get to know each other - exploring what you’re looking for, my approach to ceremony, and whether it feels like the right fit.

In staying true to my beliefs and as an ambassador of Humanist Canada, I do not incorporate religious or dogmatic content into my ceremonies. If you’ve found your way here, you might share my belief that people, culture, relationships, and the natural environment offer abundant inspiration to create a ceremony rich with meaning and authenticity. That said, if there’s something you feel strongly about including, we can explore ways for you, or a family member or friend, to share it. I’d love to collaborate and make space for what matters most to you.

Generally, the longer, more customized, or logistically complex a ceremony is, the more time I'll spend carefully preparing. My rates below are meant to reflect this, and are subject to change. Let's chat to figure out what you're looking for and I hope we work together!
Weddings
For a farm-to-table, slow fashion ceremony crafted with care. After we've had a chance to get to know each other over a client visit, and I've captured the highlights of your love story, I'll put something special together for your big day. Please be advised that I require minimum one month's notice to confirm a customized wedding ceremony and at least two week's notice for something very simple (the legal bits with charm). I want to make sure I've got adequate time to get my ducks (words and logistics) in order, and showing up as my best. I'll also need to see your completed marriage license two weeks in advance of your ceremony just to double check for any potential errors. We'll go over this and more during our call. Remember, I'm here to help!

A longer and more elaborate ceremony often involving rituals, readings, and audience engagement, with seamless and personalized integration of the legal bits.

A semi-short and always sweet acknowledgement of the happy couple - not a long or involved script, but the essentials rounded out with a highlight reel of your love story before guests get on with the party.

Ceremonies for losing a loved one
Below are options for funeral ceremonies such as Memorials and Celebrations of Life. These events are typically held weeks or months following the passing of a loved one. Memorials and Celebrations of Life are often less formal and structured than a funeral, but there is no guidebook to grief so let's chat about what feels right. I would be honoured to help craft something special for the people held in your hearts. Locations for these ceremonies can vary - a park, home, community centre, or music/event venue.
